About The Author

The author of SOS Help For Emotions and SOS Help For Parents books & programs is Lynn Clark, Ph. D., a licensed clinical psychologist who lives in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Dr. Clark is Professor Emeritus of Psychology at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky where he has taught in the Department of Psychology for over 30 years. Also, he has taught counseling courses in Germany and Italy as an Adjunct Professor of Education for Boston University. He has traveled the country giving seminars for mental health professionals and educators.

Dr, Clark has used most all of the techniques described in SOS Help For Parents with his own two sons as they were growing up. When they were older, he taught them the principles of rational emotive behavior therapy (including the ABCs of Emotions), now described in SOS Help For Emotions.

Dr. Clark has extensive professional experience in community mental health centers, hospitals, counseling centers, and community agencies. He is a member of the American Psychological Association, Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies, and Association for Behavior Analysis.

Dr. Clark received a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from The University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas, a program approved by the American Psychological Association. He received traineeship and internship training in Veterans Hospitals in Topeka, Kansas, Leavenworth, Kansas, and Kansas City, Missouri. He is the owner of SOS Programs & Parents Press.
